Bloopers: Pinana Attack Review

Having been traumatized by a “Pinata Bloopers” experience of my own at an impressionable age, I can definitely relate to this YouTube video posted by hello9184, “Bloopers ( Piñata Attack)”. (In fact, I think I recognize that particular Tweety Bird Piñata in this reel…sob…TWEETY!)

Ahem.

Who doesn’t love a good kick to the groin blooper? And who doesn’t love a good accidental baseball bat to the head? Now combine the two, along with a badly rendered paper mache cartoon character or cute and fuzzy animal, and you’ve got Piñata Bloopers.

Most people are going to eat this “Pinata Bloopers” phenomenon up faster than the candy spoils of said piñata, although a few, like myself, are not so crazy about piñata bloopers videos because we feel sorry for the piñata. Not to mention the disturbing aspect of beating a Mickey Mouse, Santa Claus, or other loveable icon to death with a blunt object and then eating the contents of its body cavity, but I won’t spoil your fun.

So go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDYxKxhnm4g&feature=related Title: Bloopers (Piñata Attack) without delay-!

Here are just a few highlights of “Piñata Bloopers” which you might enjoy:

A pig piñata avoids a blow to the head! An innocent bystander, on the other hand, does not!

Santa gets a knuckle sandwich, followed by a violent collision with a wall, and nearly misses Aunt Margaret!

An unidentified swinging object, green, gets the best of an innocent little girl (rule of thumb: make sure the piñata does not outweigh your kid.)

Another questionable piñata, which resembles nothing so much as the disembodied head of Don King*, is spared in favor of some guy’s kneecap!

A piñata gets smacked right in the snotlocker, then collides with a house, but has its revenge when the tree limb it was attached to falls off and attempts to kill the revelers beneath it. Bonus: this appears to be a recurring theme in Piñata Blooper Land.

A rainbow (really?) piñata fights the stick thingy that beats it and wins.

Another knee broken, another piñata spared.

Wow. I have no idea what happened or what that monstrosity was - possibly an anteater? I don’t even know what happened to that one, but it scared me.

Wow, filling a piñata with substances other than candy and trinkets is a lowdown dirty trick. Good one, Creepy Uncle Scott.

Some people, like this girl (with a broom, for some reason) are just really confused. I’d like to see them trying to play Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Donkey, but they probably should not be given any sharp objects.

Several piñatas swing blithely in the breeze as their would-be killers aim for other objects, such as a tree or the wall. Or…air.

A hapless parent decides to climb up a ladder and hold the piñata rather than tie it to something with less kneecaps, such as a tree. Wow, what a really bad idea.

An older woman appears to be not so much in pursuit of the piñata as she is trying to assault her husband. I suspect this scene goes much deeper than the piñata. I also suspect this so-called “Piñata Bloopers” video may resurface in a court of law soon. You never know.

Final “Pinata Bloopers” score, by my count:

Humans: 0

Piñatas: 22

No One in Particular (Wall, Ladder, Ex-Wife, Air): 4

GO, PINATAS! Bust those knees-!

*This could just be the poor video quality. Or maybe it’s just me.

Flower Carpet 2008

The famous Carpet of Flowers covers 3200 square feet right in the center of the Grand'Place, Belgium. This year, it's a traditional carpet: end of the Middle Ages. With a different design each time, it is the work of flower growers from Ghent, the great specialists in growing begonias. These flowers offer a wide range of vivid and glowing colors and easily resist the burning sun. After all, the craftsmen assemble them directly on the cobble-stones of the square without a layer of soil. The colored plant tapestry can be admired best from the balcony of the City Hall, which is open to the public for the occasion.
